Storage Is the Whole Point
A laundry is a working room and the measure of a good one is whether everything has a home. Cleaning products behind a door rather than on the windowsill, a broom cupboard that fits a broom, and a bench long enough to sort on.
Getting that into a room that is often under four square metres is a set-out problem, and it is worth spending an hour on with a tape measure before anything is ordered.
Ventilation and Damp
Laundries generate more moisture than any room except the bathroom, and plenty of them have no extraction at all. A dryer venting into a small closed room will eventually show up as mould on the ceiling and swelling at the base of the joinery.
We deal with that as part of the renovation, whether that means an extraction fan, a vented dryer position or a condenser unit. It is a small cost that saves the finish you have just paid for.
