Recladding changes how a house looks more than almost anything else you can spend the money on. Same house, and from the street it looks like a different one.

With the old boards off, the frame is visible for the first time since the house was built. Anything rotten or damaged gets repaired before the new cladding goes on.

The Biggest Visible Change You Can Buy
Very little you can spend money on changes how a house presents as much as recladding it. A tired 1970s or 1980s exterior and the same house with new boards and a fresh coat of paint are barely recognisable as the same building.
Because it is also solving a real water problem rather than being purely cosmetic, it is one of the few jobs that is both an improvement and a repair.
